Rivers, Writing: A Haiku

Water. Time. Passing.
Incredibly loud exhale.
Get to it young one.

It's raining near home.
Cautious commute slows comfort.
Waiting, turn signal.

The price is higher.
A coffee, a mug, a seat.
The river wanders.

Breeze blows leaves in view.
Brief inspiration springs forth.
Dead bee pulls focus.

Neighbors talk invades.
Make light of sobriety.
What is he hoping?

The words come in stride.
Desperate longing and hope.
Will my name endure?

Fingers lost, page full.
The story begins with love.
The end always comes.
